[+] The pools were great and spacious. The beach front is quite lovely also, tho it is separated from the hotel and is across the street.
The water pressure is surprisingly strong. My showers were amazing! Some places I’ve stayed on the island only offer cleaning every few days or so, but they came by every day and cleaned my room, which surprised me. I appreciated that, and I could tell that they took Covid cleaning very seriously.
Also, the tv was easy to figure out. Usually it’s not, which isn’t a huge deal, but this one was, so I was able to watch some shows in Spanish and work on my pronunciation:)
The staff was super helpful also. Very kind. It’s a huge place, so just be mindful that the place may be very busy….
[-] The wifi can only be accessed in the lobby, which is a huge pain in the butt. As soon as you leave the lobby, you have no more connection.
When I said this to the front desk man, he said that the modem was in the lobby, so that’s where the signal was…..but for such a large establishment with so many people, it would be wise to amp up the wifi.

[+] The rooms were nicely laid out. It was great to be able to watch TV in English. The pool was very nice to relax in. Also the evening music was nice, even if I didn’t leave my room in the evening. It sounded like everyone was having a good time!
[-] It was a bit weird to step so high up into the tub and to get out of it almost was a bad landing. I am pretty accustomed to the height to get in and out of a tub and I wasn’t ready for the extra step out. Also found the height of the showerhead to be a bit low. And I’m not a tall person.

[+] The wifi has greatly improved since our last visit. That made us very happy.
I can see that improvements are being made. However I miss the beautiful statue that was beside the fabulous pool.
Comfortable beds and great A/C. I prefer to have meals at the waterfront restaurant, I wish more meals were served there. Dinner at sunset there would be lovely!
[-] The food has not improved. Its not very good. That’s the main issue with this property. I love trying new things, but most dishes were bland. The specialty nights foods were better.
I don’t do all inclusive, so I pay for our drinks, so it would be great if the paid drinks were better. I understand making small low quality drinks for all-inclusive people who may abuse the program, but if I’m paying full price for each drink, it should be worth it….

[+] We only stayed for two nights and did not book the AI option. The hotel is really nice (though needs some patch up in some places), but all in all we had a great room with all the amenities we hoped for. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good – nothing special! We really enjoyed the pool!
[-] Since we did not have the AI option it was a little hard to pay our drinks with cash, since there was never anyone who could do it or we had to wait extra long on change.

Offers all options from sun to shade, sunbeds and -chairs, hammocks.
Direct scuba diving option from the beach!
Or book a boat trip with the on-site dive-shop and embark right next to the hotel.

Drinks at bat are good quality and cheap. {except beer}
[-] The room was adequate. However the door to the adjacent room (romms could be connected on demand) did not block any noise. You can follow the entire discussion of your neighbours
Dinner had poor quality and limited choise.

[+] Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast buffet. Great location. Chedraui grocery store is 4 blocks away. Cheap cab ride to town but is also a good walk. Nice big pool. Good seaside snorkel area. Nice clean room. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure in bathroom.
