[+] Hands down the best hotel I’ve ever been to. From arrival till departure, the staff were welcoming and super helpful. The jungle side accommodation is brand new and definitely the best from a pool perspective. Stunning views from the room and delicious cocktails – what more can you ask for?! Will return asap.

[+] First of all, the aesthetic of the hotel is absolutely perfect – perhaps the most stylish we’ve ever stayed at. Breakfast was great, as was the swimming pool in the jungle side of the hotel. The staff were also incredible and couldn’t do any more to make us feel looked after during our stay. We had quite a big 8 legged friend come to pay us a visit on our last morning (it is the jungle after all) and the manager came to our rescue and removed it by hand and managed to keep it alive! The beach bags are also to die for. Lovely hotel!
[-] I think it’s perhaps slightly overpriced, however the location demands a slight premium – it’s right in the heart of the hotel zone. However, this also means that you are right in the middle of throngs of tourists which, whilst great for some, we prefer a slightly more authentic experience – but that’s more of a knock on the area, rather than the hotel.

[+] As part of our honeymoon, we enjoyed 11 days at La Valise and it was truly an amazing time. The place is a beautiful and peaceful little pearl in the jungle close to restaurants and Tulum life, the view over the Caribbean Sea is stunning, the food is always delicious and the place and furnishing are giving a perfect Caribbean vibe. Huge thanks to Oscar, Eddie, Agustin, Anna and the whole team, you made the experience wonderful – we couldn’t ask for more. The greatest recommendation from Denmark.

[+] A breathtaking room and resort! The spa was fantastic, I could have spent all of my time in there. The food was delicious and the staff were super accommodating, polite and responsive.
[-] Raccoons were trying to get through the straw roof into my room and almost got there until I alerted the staff. A piece of cardboard was put up to block the hole, which was quite unsightly!

[+] The hotel was amazing. Set between the jungle and the beach it has plenty of space for guests to relax, eat and drink and always felt calm and exclusive.
From start to finish the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.
The food was good quality and the hotel is a short walk to a number of great restaurants.

[+] The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, we stayed in one of the cheaper garden rooms & I was a bit worried the room wouldn’t be that nice but it was perfect. Lovely outdoor bathroom, & plunge pool outside. V private & quiet. The hotel is located a bit further down from the big beach clubs so quiet at night. Beach is stunning, as is the pool. Staff will sort anything for you, all via whatsapp. A real 5* experience which was a relief as we had a few disappointments in Mexico.
[-] I was sad to learn all the hotels on the beach are powered by very big noisy generators, burning fossil fuels day and night. The road running behind the beach constantly smells polluted & I dread to think what their carbon footprint is. Would be amazing if the hotel installed some renewable energy to combat this. There is so much sun & wind on this beach that it wud be a genuine energy source.
