[+] We loved all the amenities and daily entertainment. The beach club is amazing and I personally liked the pool at the beach club because it was shaded which made the water cool and enjoyable during a hot day at the beach.
[-] We wish there was more entertainment or a night club vibe at night. The entertainment that did happen was only a few hours long and usually the resort was dead after about 9pm. Considering it being adults only we wished to have seen a little bit more of this.

[+] The location, the setting, the people, service, let alone the food and drinks. Everything was impeccable – the amount of choice was amazing, we didn’t even make it to all of the restaurants during our stay despite our best efforts! I was initally a bit apprehensive as it’s such a new resort and some of the reviews are mixed. I geuinely can’t understand why – we had a fantastic time on our honeymoon. The beach club is like paradise – we moved onto another hotel on the beach after our stay at Secrets and only then realised how expensive the other beach clubs are (£12 for a beer) so we are very glad we made the most of the all-inclusive amazing food and drink at the Secrets beach club. The bus runs every 30 mins so it’s really easy to get there/back at any time of the day.
[-] Better sign posts! It’s a HUGE resort and very easy to get lost. Would have been a bonus if the beach club was open later / if the shuttle ran into the evening as well as taxi’s are extortionate.

[+] This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are amazing, and all the food outlets are great. All the staff are so polite and attentive, and the entertainment on an evening was great. The pool areas are absolutely beautiful, it feels like you’re in paradise. The Edgewater bar staff were particularly great, and very attentive. Christian was particularly good, and remembered our order and brought it to us!
The restaurants were amazing, the steak place was our favourite. The buffet restaurant was also amazing, the variety was excellent and always delicious.
The Beach Club is really nice, we went here a couple of times and loved it. There was always a shuttle ready when we wanted to go, so never had to wait. The beach not being right by the door wasn’t an issue, as the pool areas are so nice and there’s so many of them- and the beach club is always easy to get to.
[-] The only things I would say need work are:
– more staff needed in the buffet restaurant, as we were often waiting a long time for drinks as there wasn’t enough servers.
– more staff needed in housekeeping as services were a bit sporadic, but the rooms were cleaned to the highest standard- they really are stunning rooms.
– there is no sign for the hotel, so if you’re driving there yourself like we did, it can be quite hard to find.
– customer service was ok. We had a couple of issues whilst there, and they were dealt with, just not in a very timely manner. Again, I think this is to do with staffing and not having enough people to deal with the number of guests at the hotel.
Overall an amazing hotel. We had the most relaxing time and would absolutely stay again. The only reason I have mentioned negatives is because the hotel is still quite new, so it’s just some things to think about to make it even better

[+] Food was excellent and staff were friendly and accomodating. The app was also excellent – made it easy to navigate facilities and make orders without needing to call reception.
[-] Food service at night wasn’t great. Had to wait almost 2 hours for room service some nights, and the ‘secret’ drop-off door for food to be delivered in wasn’t used as we expected – we would often get knocks on the door and staff entering the room to deliver food that we asked to be delivered in the drop-off door.

[+] I enjoyed the hospitality from the staff. Everyone who I met were extremely helpful and accommodating. I don’t speak any Spanish, and most of the staff knew and were patient with me when requesting for assistance. I went for my significant other’s birthday and the resort staff made sure they welcomed to us with joy.
[-] It was not within walking distance of outside shops and restaurants.

[-] There’s a lot of sand in strange places! It’s a shame you can’t walk to the beach and the last bus back is 5pm and can be very busy waiting to get on.
